About Evan
Reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, especially when you are still trying to understand what you are feeling or how to put it into words. Whether you are a teen or young adult looking for support, or a parent or caregiver trying to find the right therapist for your child, I believe therapy begins with feeling heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.
As a social worker, I bring over five years of experience working with and mentoring youth and young adults, along with experience supporting young people through community programs, schools, mentorship, and junior golf. These experiences have reinforced for me the importance of genuine connection, meeting people where they are, and creating a space where young people feel comfortable being themselves and having a voice.
I work with youth and young adults experiencing concerns related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem and self-worth, emotional regulation, relationships and boundaries, family conflict, trauma, identity, school and life transitions, stress and burnout, behavioural concerns, and substance use.
My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), somatic psychotherapy, and strengths-based approaches. I am particularly interested in helping clients understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, relationships, behaviours, and nervous system, while developing practical tools that support greater self-awareness, regulation, and confidence.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and you do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, feel validated and supported, and begin to better understand what is happening beneath the surface. Together, we can build on your strengths, develop tools for navigating challenges, and support you in moving toward the person and life you want to grow into.
On a personal note
I’m a proud Blenheim boy, born and raised in Chatham-Kent, and I have a big heart for my community. I stay involved with local non-profits, community organizations, and mental health initiatives whenever I can. I’m also your typical Canadian sports guy — hockey in the winter and golf as soon as the weather cooperates. I’m probably most at peace on the golf course, enjoying a beautiful day, scenic views, and a round with good friends (the scorecard is sometimes better left unmentioned). As a huge golf fan, one of my bucket-list dreams is to attend The Masters at Augusta National. Most importantly, I’m a big family-and-friends guy and love spending time with the people who mean the most to me.
